Testimonials!

Hello Jim, Pilar, Victor and all at Hotel Torrecerredo!

Just a quick line to say thanks once again for the absolutely fantastic time we spent with you last week.  Your hotel is one of the nicest we have stayed in.  We all felt right at home and totally relaxed.  It felt as if nothing was too much trouble.  Also the food was brilliant!

To Victor – we are sorry that we did not get the chance to say goodbye and thank you for being our guide.  You were very patient with us when we were unsure but you still managed to get us to do things that we probably would not have expected to do, as we had such confidence in you.

And thank you all for introducing us to the Picos – one of the loveliest areas we have seen.

All the very best to you all there!

"thanks for the list, and for the brilliant week we had with you ,Pilar and Steve, etc,we all really enjoyed it!!"

"Remember me--the arm wrestling, cigarette smoking, garrulous journalist from
your last Exodus cycling trip? I just wanted to thank you for organizing
such a fun-packed week. It's a shame you couldn't join us--but then again,
if you had been leading the pack, we wouldn't have had Axel to entertain us.
You probably noticed how well I got on with your boys/subcontractors--Ilja's
such a sweetheart, and his local knowledge (both of bears and bars) added a
whole extra dimension to the trip. As for Axel, what a star! How clever of
you to leave us in the care of a 25-year-old with "an ego the size of a
planet"--not only did he transport us back to our own carefree youth, he
also allowed us to tease him mercilessly for not being as mature and
worldly-wise as we are. Of course I can't speak for all the other clients,
but for me Ilja and Axel truly made this a holiday of a lifetime. So, thanks
to them, and thanks to you for all your planning and organization, and to
everyone at your hotel for making us feel so at home."

Best wishes,
Kate

"The customer focused attitude and such friendly manner of Jim and all his team is a rareity in todays modern age and really made our holiday a very enjojable experience and credit should be given. This is our first organised walking holiday and one we would highly recommend based on our experience with Jim and all his team."

"It hardly seems like I have been back in the UK for over a week......I have been madly busy in and out of work....but when I look at my photos of my week in the Picos I am transported back there almost instantly.....fantastic! Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday, it exceeeded my expectations in almost every department and it was deeply depressing to leave...a feeling I think most of the group shared. The walks were varied, each challenging in their own way and incredibly satisfying to complete. The caving on the free day was fabulous...I had been caving twice before but I think this was the best one....thanks Jim, I just wish I could remember half of the stuff you told us when we were down there.
Really hope the rest of the season goes well for you, and thanks for making one week so very memorable."

Dear Pilar, Jim and Yara (I hope I spelled it right!?),

we would like you to know that we really had a great time in the Picos and
especially in your hotel. The dinners were great (Peter still mourns those
lost times) and very baby-friendly, and the company was even better.
Especially Emma remembers Yarina (calling her Anina) from time to time and
seems to be looking for her everywhere. She learned a lot of good and some
bad things from her (such as spilling drinks from her bottle all over the
place).
When we look out of the window in the morning, we still keep wondering why
they built that ugly apartment house instead of the beautiful meadows full
of cows and sheep with ringing bells and where went those distant
mountains. I don't think we'll ever have such a view again. Our feet don't
tread the stony paths of the gargantas, but the concrete sidewalks of our
town, which is not exactly a change for the better, as the town is
overcrowded even much more than the garganta del Cares on a lovely Sunday
afternoon.
In short, we really miss you and the Picos. Your advice and company has
been really invaluable, and we hope we'll have the opportunity to go back
before too long.

All the best and many thanks to everybody in the hotel,

Eliska, Peter and Emma
